Adriana Cursio Fashion Photographer

Adriana Curcio

Cursio inspired me to work professionally, putting myself in a professional fashion photographer’s perspective; I took the time to higher the schools studio room.

Having a time limit in shooting my model, my plan was organized, with scheduled time on what time to be at the studio, when to meet my model, making sure all equipment was ready with back up equipment such as sync leads and an extra flash. Working with a model is time consuming, as the model needs to be prepared with a dress code, make up, preps for the shoot, other issues such as test shots; lighting set up can also be time consuming. Using Photoshop, the photo was then enhanced with an increase of the contrast, color channel and white balance. Keeping the shoots as professional as possible, I guided my model with what I wanted to take, and communicating with them, keeping them informed with what needed to be taken. In this image, I wanted the model to be the main focus of the portrait.  I adjusted the contrast to make the surroundings dark whilst the model was focused, however still keeping the faded effect of the model. Although the image is dark, the concept of the image is to show that although life can be hard, we can always be successful in many ways.
